Every big restaurant has to order food every week and keep track of inventory. Melrose, located in Franklin, WI reached out to us to come up with an efficient way of managing and ordering inventory and monitoring price changes every month.

Solution

Symphony Software came up with a unique solution where Melrose can maintain their inventory with a very user friendly interface. With one click, they can now send out quote requests to multiple vendors. Vendors quotes are received via same system and system automatically selects least cost item. We also provided ability to change or block vendors for particular items if their quality is not good. After Melrose selects the best quotes, POs are generated with one click. Vendors receive their order, delivers them and automatic invoices are generated as well from the same system thus closing the loop for the entire process. Melrose can now view the cost trends per item, per category and by month, thus giving them ability to monitor their costs on an annual basis.
